CSS and CARP Design

CSS and CARP Design

With this project we had to show the differences between a stylized website and a plain one. The only difference between the sites was the use of CARP. The style information was stored on a CSS style sheet.

The style sheet improved contrast by changing the background to black and using browns and tans. The important information stood out from the unimportant.

The alignment was improved so everything lined up nicely. The dog also got moved to make the website look better.

The repetition is seen in the fonts and colors used. The colors match the dog and the fonts are consistent.

With proximity everything is grouped in logical ways and if something doesn't belong in a group, like the picture of the dog, then it is not grouped with anything.

I learned how to use a style sheet to customize the appearance of a bland website. In conclusion this project was a great way to familiarize myself with the use of CSS style sheets.
