PetTalk
This past quarter my group and I have been very busy creating the concept for a pet translator, PetTalk. This took us all quarter to plan, complete, and execute. The biggest challenge we faced as a team was time. In the end we figured out how to use our 48 minutes a day and turn those minutes of hard work into PetTalk. Classmates told us that our presentation are strong. We changed our commercial based on feedback from Mrs. Zimmerli. I am very proud of our work and think we created a strong project.Time Management
We completed nearly everything during the class periods dedicated to this project; however, for the video, we had to film a few shots outside of class at the pet store. We were never at the point where we thought we were done until the very end. After we felt we were completed, we studied and practiced our script. I occasionally watch a tutorial or two to learn something about Premiere Pro or Illustrator, this summer however, I will attempt to learn After Effects on my own.
Strengths
I feel my strengths in e-Communication are video shooting and editing. Unfortunately I didn't get to maximize those strengths in this project because I had to fill the spokesman role in our team.
Weaknesses
I will continue to learn new things about Illustrator and use experience to strengthen my graphic designs.
Summary
I enjoyed the video rotation the most during this project. I wouldn't necessarily change anything. I learned how to work better as a team while improving my skills. I would like to learn After Effects by the end of next school year. This year in e9 has helped me find what I love to do.
